Two cars have crashed north of Morrinsville, in Waikato, blocking State Highway 27.
Waikato police Senior Sergeant Pete van de Wetering is now urging motorists to avoid the State Highway 27 and Horrell Rd intersection if they can as not only are the cars impeding both lanes but there has also been an amount of debris left strewn across the road.
Fortunately, the drivers of the vehicles have escaped serious injury with one suffering moderate injuries, the other minor.
The crash occurred about 2pm. Diversions are currently being set up, in the meantime officers are turning motorists around.
