Police are urging a West Auckland teenager to contact his family to let them know where he is and when he will return home.
Ohomairangi Rota, 15, was reported missing from his Henderson home on April 5 by his mother , Detective Sergeant Sean Hyland-Mills of the Henderson CIB said.
He was last seen by a family member walking along Henderson Valley Road just before 8am on April 15.
Mr Hyland-Mills said police were concerned that the missing teenager had not made any contact with his mother for more than three weeks and had not attended school.
"He is a student at Hato Petera College on the North Shore. We urge the boy to contact his mother to tell her that he is safe and that he will return home."
Ohomairangi was described as Maori, of slim build, 178cm tall.
He has a Maori design tattoo on his left forearm and a birthmark on the outer side of his left knee.
It was not known what Ohomairangi was wearing, although he often wears a beanie, Mr Hyland-Mills said.
"We're aware he has recently been seen busking on local streets on the North Shore and that he has family contacts in Whangarei."
Mr Hyland-Mills said anyone who had seen Ohomairangi or knew where he was, should contact Henderson CIB.
