Masterton police are appealing for help in finding a 13-year-old runaway.
Sharmayne Carrington was last seen at her school on Friday but had not been in contact with her family since, Senior Sergeant Warwick Burr said.
The 13-year-old was originally from Masterton but had recently been living in Waitara, Taranaki, and attending school in Inglewood.
Mr Burr said Sharmayne looked older than 13, and was often described as looking 18.
She was described as European, about 170cm tall with a medium build and dark hair.
It was thought she was still in Waitara, but it was possible she had returned to other family in Masterton.
Police urged Sharmayne or anyone in contact with her to contact police.
