Two Christchurch police officers may be disciplined over an "inappropriate" remark made at a careers expo.
Recruitment officer Senior Constable Kelvin McBride and a female colleague told a Christchurch man Simon Calcinai, 20, the scarf he was wearing was too "gay" for the police.
Mr Calcinai told The Press newspaper Mr McBride had since emailed him an apology. Christchurch police said they would investigate.
