A nationwide publicity campaign has failed to yield any further information relating to the whereabouts of Napier woman Annabell Tumanako who has been missing since late June.
Detective Sergeant Sean Hansen, of Napier CIB, said there had been just one call to police following the extended publicity which included a profile of the mystery on the the television crime programme Police Ten 7 last week.
Police have had almost no information relating to the whereabouts of 35-year- old Miss Tumanako since she left her home in Bledisloe Road, Maraenui, late on the afternoon of June 27.
Her car was recovered several days later from the forecourt of the former Westshore Service Station, where it was thought to have been parked since a few hours after Miss Tumanako was last seen.
Police say there is no evidence that Miss Tumanako is still alive, or that she parked the car where it was found.
Police are now reviewing information gathered during their inquiries, which included a search of her home and interviewing people in the Maraenui area, and a search with dogs of the area near where the car was found.
Mr Hansen has consistently said it was possible the vehicle had been abandoned by someone else, and their use of the vehicle could be unrelated to the disappearance.
He said it remains crucial for anyone with any information to contact police, particularly for the benefit of the womans parents and other family.
