A battery $1000 charger which Taupo police loaned to a couple to start their car has still not been returned.
Senior Sergeant Tony Jeurissen said today that despite police appeals to the public no-one has come forward.
Police loaned the charger to a couple, who said they were father and daughter, after they arrived at Taupo Police Station late on June 30 saying their car had a flat battery.
Police were busy and couldn't spare the time to help the couple so loaned them the charger.
Police noticed the car was gone shortly afterwards but the charger was not returned.
