Police investigating the killing of an Auckland man in September say witnesses are still stonewalling the inquiry.
Damien Loder Allen, 33, died on September 24 of head injuries. His injuries were not accidental and police believed the house in suburban Hillsborough where he was found had been cleaned, and the body had been moved.
Four people were in the house when police arrived and others had visited the house on the night.
Someone from the house made a 111 call, but police said since then people in the house had been stonewalling their efforts to find out what had happened.
Last month, police said possible witnesses had refused to give details which could help.
Today they said nothing had changed.
"We are still being stonewalled. We are doing a review of the investigation and see where that takes us," said Detective Inspector Scott Beard.
"We have spoken to a lot of people and have done a lot of work. We need to sit down and do a review of the investigation to see what evidence we have and what evidence we don't."
Several people had been interviewed several times but police were not yet ready to charge people with obstruction, apart from charges relating to Mr Allen's death.
Police said anyone with information on Mr Allen's death should call the confidential Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
