KEY POINTS:
Police were today still hunting a gunman who shot a Hamilton man inside his home on Thursday morning.
The 51-year-old victim is in a stable condition after undergoing surgery at Waikato Hospital to remove a bullet from his shoulder.
Police said that the shot was fired from outside the man's Duke Street, Frankton, home, but they could not say if it was a driveby shooting.
Police yesterday interviewed the man at his hospital bedside but said they still did not have a motive for the shooting.
Police spent yesterday examining the man's house and appealed for anyone who saw anything unusual in the Frankton area between 5.30am and 7am on Thursday to come forward.
