KEY POINTS:
Police have interviewed a truck driver involved in a fatal crash in central Dunedin yesterday but say it is too early to say if he will face charges.
A pedestrian, Shirley Anne Heads, 64, of Dunedin, died after she was hit by the truck while crossing Great King St near the Hanover St intersection about 1pm.
Police said the truck was making a left turn.
Acting Senior Sergeant Sheldon Kindley, of Dunedin police, said today police were continuing to investigate the incident and would prepare a report for a coroner's inquest.
The truck driver was spoken to yesterday, but Mr Kindley said police had a number of witnesses to interview before any decision on whether charges might be laid.
