Wellington police are appealing for people who witnessed the protest which disrupted yesterday's Anzac Day dawn service to contact them.
A man and woman were arrested at the dawn parade after a New Zealand flag was set alight.
The pair were among a group of people in the grounds of Victoria University's law school, opposite where the service was held at the Cenotaph, protesting against troops being deployed overseas.
"We would like anyone who observed the protesters, and in particular the flag burning, to contact us with information so that we can learn the full version of events," Acting Sergeant Graeme Bergh said today.
The two arrested protesters appeared in Wellington District Court yesterday -- a 29-year-old man charged with obstruction and resisting arrest and a 35-year-old woman charged with offensive behaviour and for allegedly burning the New Zealand flag.
They entered not guilty pleas and were remanded on bail until May 22.
