Police are looking for a good Samaritan named Kate who helped another woman in Wellington.
Police said in the early hours of Saturday, a woman who introduced herself as Kate came to the assistance of "an upset young lady sat cowering near foliage on The Terrace in the central city".
She then accompanied the upset young lady up the street.
Police asked that anyone with information call Detective Nicole Bourke of the Wellington Police on (04) 381 2000.
