Police are still seeking witnesses after a Christchurch bar was robbed at gunpoint this week.
The bar manager at the Edgeware Sports Bar in suburban St Albans was held at gunpoint and tied up in the robbery, about 8.30pm on Tuesday.
Detective Rusty Rayne of New Brighton police said a man described as a Pacific Islander or Maori went into the bar carrying a cut-down firearm as the manager was closing.
The gunman took cash from the bar floats and put it in a day pack. He tied up the bar manager before fleeing.
Mr Rayne said the gunman was aged in his 20s and had an athletic build. He was wearing a beanie with a bandana, gloves, a hooded top under a jacket and track pants.
Police wanted to hear from anyone with information about the robbery.
