KEY POINTS:
Christchurch police are looking for two men who robbed a service station in the city early on Saturday.
The robbery took place about 1.45am at the Challenge Service Station in Opawa.
Detective Sergeant Ross Tarawhiti said two men entered the service station and approached the sole attendant and demanded money.
The attendant was grabbed by one of the men and threatened.
The attendant then opened the cash drawer and the robber grabbed all the $20 notes from the till and ran off with the second man.
Mr Tarawhiti said the station's video security cameras captured the incident and police wanted help in identifying those responsible.
One man was described as a light skinned Maori, in his 20s, about 182cm in height and of medium build. He was wearing blue jeans, white/grey sneakers, and a patterned, two tone sweatshirt hoodie.
The other man, also in his early 20s, was about 170cm tall, of medium build, and wearing a three-quarter length, black duffel coat with a hood, and dark trousers.
Anyone who saw the men should contact Mr Tarawhiti on (03) 3440661.
