Police seek missing man

Police are looking for a 20-year-old intellectually handicapped man who went missing near Christchurch yesterday.

Brett Allan King, who has a mental age of five or six-years-old, was on a day trip to Pines Beach, Kaiapoi, with his caregivers when he went missing.

Police said despite his mental age, he was able to communicate well with others and was believed to be in Christchurch.

Mr King was described as a solidly built European, 183cm in height, and was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front, black track-pants, black t-shirt with "M&M" on the front, and white shoes. He has a piercing above his right eye and a piercing in the form of a black dice through his bottom lip.
