Police are currently looking for Stephen Christopher Rowe, who has a warrant to be recalled to prison.
Rowe is 47-years-old, 183cm tall and of solid build.
He is heavily tattooed, including on the neck and throat areas, police say.
Police said Rowe had links to the Wairarapa and Wellington regions
