Police are hunting a man who robbed the Huntly Post Shop yesterday.
Detective Dale Anderson of Huntly CIB said the man walked into the shop at 9.30am and presented the teller a note demanding money.
He then fled with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The offender was described as a Maori or Polynesian, aged 35 - 50 years, of slim to athletic build and average height.
"He may have a ponytail and was wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt with a white pattern in front and a dark brown oilskin vest over the hooded sweatshirt. He was also wearing a yellow and red baseball cap," said Anderson.
Anybody with any information on the man's identity is asked to contact Huntly Police station.
