Police seek help over missing Napier man

Police would like to know the whereabouts of John van Koppenhagen, who was reported missing from his home in Napier about 6.30pm yesterday.

Senior Sergeant Wendy Wright of the Napier police said she would like to hear from anyone who may have seen Mr van Koppenhagen or who knows where he is.

Mr van Koppenhagen, 46, has short shaven hair and a thick grey goatee, a dark olive complexion and wears two earrings in his upper ears on the right side. He has a Celtic tattoo band on his right upper arm.

Mr van Koppenhagen was wearing grey cargo pants, a T-shirt and tramping boots when he was last seen. He is believed to be carrying a tramping pack.

Mr van Koppenhagen is thought to be travelling on foot as he does not have access to a vehicle.

Any sightings can be reported to any local Police Station or the Napier police on (06) 831 0700.
