Christchurch police are appealing to the public for information after a woman was found seriously injured in the central city early this morning.
The middle-aged woman was taken to Christchurch Hospital after she was found suffering from head injuries in Durham Street near Salisbury Street about 4.30am.
Detective Sergeant Craig Farrant said the identity of the woman is yet to be established or how she received her injuries.
Mr Farrant asked that any person with any knowledge of this incident please contact police on 363 7400.
