Police seek fatal crash helper

Queenstown police are seeking a man who assisted at the scene following a fatal two-car crash near the city earlier this month.

Brazilian national Anderson Luiz Dos Santos, 32, was killed in the January 8 crash on State Highway 6 near the Shotover bridge.

The sole occupant of the other car, Brad James Nielson, 31, suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to Southland Hospital.

Police were seeking a man in his 30s with blond or brown hair who was one of the first at the scene.

They asked the man to contact Queenstown police.
