Police are searching a Taranaki property this morning in relation to the slaying of roadworker George Taiaroa.
Mr Taiaroa was shot as he operated a stop-go sign on Tram Rd at Atiamuri in Waikato on March 19.
Police spokeswoman Kim Perks confirmed officers had executed a search warrant at a property in the Whangamomona area this morning.
"That's part of our ongoing inquiry into the murder - it's a standard search warrant of a property, one of a number of properties that are currently of interest to the inquiry."
Police last week found items of interest in the bush, on privately owned land, which were believed to have been discarded the day Mr Taiaroa was murdered.
