An airline passenger alert has been interviewed after police were told he was carrying a bomb on a Air New Zealand flight from Auckland to Brisbane last night .
Auckland police yesterday received a call saying that a man would soon board NZ739 to Brisbane with a bomb.
But by the time police identified the passenger the flight had already departed.
Brisbane police confirmed today that a passenger was spoken to when the plane arrived at Brisbane but would not be drawn on whether any action was being taken against him.
Auckland police said the call had "the hallmarks of a hoax from the very beginning but obviously we had to investigate it as if it was a serious complaint''.
