Blenheim Police are appealing to the public for help finding a sailor who has been reported missing in the Marlborough Sounds area.
Peter Gascoigne, 52, was reported missing today after failing to meet his friend in Blackwood Bay on December 31.
Police said the man is believed to be in his blue and white yacht, a 23ft Southerlee and is a very competent sailor who is familiar with the Sounds area.
Gascoigne is approximately 175cm tall and of thin build.
