Police search for missing Christchurch man

Christchurch police are searching for a local man who has been missing for a week.

Jamie Bennett, 39, had not been seen since last Thursday and has not returned to his home in Redcliffs, Christchurch.

Bennett had not had any contact with friends or family despite numerous attempts to locate him.

Those who know him said the lack of contact was out of character.

Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen Bennett to get in touch.

He is thought to be travelling in a black Hyundai Tuscon with the registration DDT241.
