KEY POINTS:
Police have released the name and a picture of a man they want to speak to about the alleged theft of transformers from an Auckland roof.
The man was pictured apparently stealing the transformers on October 12 and the owner then put up a billboard showing the picture.
Today police said they want to locate 24 year-old Peter Samuel Dickey.
A spokeswoman said: "Consistent information from members of the public has provided Police investigators with some strong lines of inquiry but, to date, Mr Dickey has chosen not to make contact with police.
"His last known address was in Ranui but he is known to frequent south Auckland suburbs and parts of Northland."
