A police pursuit after the armed robbery of a South Canterbury bank this morning ended in a two-car crash.
A bank in Temuka, 19km north of Timaru, was robbed about 10.30am, Police southern communications Inspector Paul Fremaux said.
The armed offenders squad was called out and the offenders were pursued by police between Temuka and Ashburton.
The pursuit ended in Ashburton after a two-car crash, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Mr Fremaux could not confirm the crash but said two people were in custody.
