Police are on the hunt for four Wairarapa people.
Michael Kane McRae is the subject of two warrants for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and is believed to be "actively avoiding police".
"We have information that he may be in Wellington, Manawatu or Hawke's Bay," Detective Peter Donaldson said. "My message to McRae is that it is only a matter of time before we catch up with him so he might as well front up now. I would warn anyone assisting him to evade police that it is likely they will also face charges."
Police have been visiting people known to McRae and are advising the public not to approach him as he is known to carry weapons.
Police are also seeking an associate of McRae, April Lorna Marie Jackson, 20, who is wanted for breaching bail conditions. She is due to re-appear in the Masterton District Court on June 12.
