Save Three police officers have been injured in a brawl in a Christchurch street involving ten people.
Inspector Murray Hurst of Southern Police Communications said six people were arrested after a brawl on Clyde Road in Christchurch this evening.
Police got a call at 5:23pm that two parties in the street
had converged on the road and a fight had broken out.
Mr Hurst said one person was armed with a shovel and another was carrying a knife that was never presented.
The police officers weren't seriously injured, Mr Hurst said, and suffered bruising.
