One of three Auckland police officers accused of assaulting a Rotorua bar manager has been convicted.
Ivan James Sarich, 34, was found guilty in Rotorua District Court today of assaulting Fuze City Bar manager Glen Baker on May 21 last year.
He was found not guilty of injuring Mr Baker and assaulting bar worker Elinde Kersbergen.
Two other police officers, Tracey Catherine Wong, 33, and Paul Ian Reeves, 34, were found not guilty of assaulting Mr Baker, and Wong was cleared of assaulting bar patron Randall Brandon.
Judge Phillip Cooper remanded Sarich on bail for sentencing in on September 15.
