Police officer charged with stealing drugs

A South Auckland police constable appeared in the Manukau District Court yesterday accused of stealing a quantity of the methamphetamine drug P that was being held as evidence.

Joseph William Rawiri, 27, pleaded not guilty to a charge of theft and was remanded until next month.
