KEY POINTS:
Police are no closer to finding a driver whose logging truck struck and killed a schoolgirl outside Mount Maunganui College nearly a week ago.
Breeze Brunton, 13, of Welcome Bay, Tauranga, was clipped by a logging truck while crossing the road to the college last Wednesday.
The logging truck did not stop but police said it was possible that the driver may have been unaware he had hit the girl.
Tauranga police Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said today police were no closer to finding the driver.
They were analysing CCTV footage in an attempt to locate the vehicle and establish how many drivers passed the scene around the time of the accident.
He reviewed an appeal for truck drivers who were on Maunganui Rd between 7.45am and 8.15am last Wednesday to come forward.
The funeral for Breeze was held on Saturday at Pikitu marae in South Waikato.
