A woman who died at the scene of a two-car crash at an intersection between Masterton and Carterton today has been named as Cynthia Anne Wilson, 57, of Carterton.
A Masterton police statement said Ms Wilson had been driving alone to work about 8am when the crash occurred.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved suffered minor injuries.
Masterton police and the Wellington serious crash unit were continuing their investigation.
