KEY POINTS:
Police have named the woman who died when her car collided with a truck on State Highway 1B near Tamahere.
She was Rona Muriel Joyce Shaw, 92, of Cambridge.
Mrs Shaw died yesterday in Waikato Hospital.
Inspector Leo Tooman said she had initially stopped at the intersection of Church and Marychurch roads before pulling out into the path of a southbound truck.
He said Mrs Shaw's death brought the number of fatalities on roads within the Waikato Police District to 40 from 37 crashes this year.
