A man has been charged with arson in relation to a fatal house fire in the suburb of Mt Roskill in Auckland on Tuesday.
Police said the 25-year-old man was known to fire's victim and had been charged with one count of using a document as well as the arson charge.
He will reappear in Auckland District Court on Monday, November 14.
Linda Winifred Edwards, 58, died in the blaze.
A post mortem had been carried out, but investigations were ongoing and further testing was needed to determine how Edwards died, police said.
