Police name woman killed in fatal crash

Police have named a woman who died when her car left the road and went over a bank near Wairoa in northern Hawke's Bay this morning.

She was Judith Marianne Werner, 61, of Wairoa.

The accident happened on Kiwi Valley Rd, near State Highway 2, about 8.45am.

Ms Werner was alone in the car at the time and died soon after arriving at Wairoa Hospital, police said.
