Police name teen killed in Hunterville crash

Police have named a teenager killed in a single-vehicle crash in Rangitikei overnight.

She was Tymeka Paige Wheeler, 16, from Wanganui.

She was a passenger in a Toyota Rav 4 that crashed on State Highway 1, south of Hunterville, about 55km from Wanganui, about 12.30am.

Five other people were taken to hospitals in Wanganui and Palmerston North.

The serious crash unit was investigating.
