Police have named a fishing boat skipper whose body was found in Southland's Bluff harbour.
Mark Alan Anderson, 56, of Auckland, skipper of the scampi boat Adelaide Pearl, was reported missing about 7.30pm on Wednesday.
A search resumed at first light yesterday, with police divers called in about midday. Mr Anderson's body was found about 4pm yesterday some 40m from his boat.
Senior Sergeant Olaf Jensen, of Invercargill police said Mr Anderson's death was not been treated as suspicious. A post-mortem examination was done today and the death would be referred to the coroner.

"We're still investigating the events leading up to his death," Mr Jensen told NZPA.
"He's obviously fallen in the water. Whether he fell from the wharf or from his boat, that's part of the inquiry at the moment."
Mr Anderson, a father, had family in Auckland and other parts of the country, Mr Jensen said.
