KEY POINTS:
Police have named the man whose body was found after a search sparked by an abandoned car on the road between Napier and Wairoa in the northern Hawke's Bay.
Sergeant Chris Flood of Wairoa police said 23-year-old Benjamin Wayne Urry's death had been referred to the coroner.
A car was found abandoned near the Mohaka viaduct, south of Wairoa, around 11am yesterday and a search began at first light today.
Search and rescue personnel from Gisborne and Napier, and the local Wairoa rescue helicopter, combed the area.
Mr Urry's body was found around 10.30am today, downstream from the viaduct.
