KEY POINTS:
Police have named the man who died when his car collided with a tractor on State Highway 39, south of Kowhai on Friday.
He was John Schrieber, 35, of Otorohanga.
Mr Schrieber was a shift worker and was on his way to work when the accident happened at about 2pm.
The police Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
