Police have named the motorcyclist killed in a crash on the Southern Motorway near Papakura early yesterday.
Daniel Luke Evans, of Auckland, died about 3.30am when he hit the wire median barrier.
The motorway was closed for several hours until a single lane was opened later.
The age of the motorcyclist was not given.
