KEY POINTS:
Police have named the 59 year-old allegedly shot dead in a pig hunting accident yesterday.
Mark Matiu Te Hoko-Whitu died while on a hunting trip near north-east of Turangi.
Acting senior sergeant Neale Saunders said inquiries are ongoing and no one else was being sought in connection with the shooting.
He said police would not be commenting further.
