Police have named the man killed in a crash in Western Bay of Plenty last night.
Matthew Goodlet, a 30-year-old from Hamilton, died when the car he was driving collided head-on with a ute towing a trailer on State Highway 29, in the lower Kaimai Ranges, 18km southwest of Tauranga, about 6.20pm .
Senior Sergeant Cameron Anderson of Tauranga police said a seven-year-old girl travelling in the ute received minor injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Mr Anderson said it was unclear which car had crossed the centre line and police were still investigating the accident.
