KEY POINTS:
Police today named a man who died after his car collided head-on with a truck in Auckland early this morning.
He was William Pare Eli, 31, from Manukau.
Police said the crash happened on Highbrook Rd in East Tamaki and early investigations suggested Mr Eli's car crossed the centreline.
The truck driver and his passenger were not injured in the crash.
