KEY POINTS:
Waikato police have named the man killed in a car crash in Morrinsville, 32km northeast of Hamilton, on Saturday night.
He was 36-year-old Vernon Charles Ormsby, from Morrinsville, Sergeant Chris Clarke said.
Mr Ormsby, the sole occupant of the car, lost control and crashed into a bridge on State Highway 26 just before 11pm.
He died at the scene.
