A man whose body was found floating in Wellington Harbour yesterday morning has been named by police.
Members of the public saw the body of Finbarr Clabby, 39, near Queens Wharf and alerted emergency services about 10.40am.
The police maritime unit helped recover the body.
Police today revealed Mr Clabby had been socialising with friends the night before his body was found.Sergeant Shaun Lingard said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, which had been referred to the coroner.
"This appears to have been an unfortunate accident after Mr Clabby had been out socialising with friends on Saturday night," Mr Lingard said.
