Save Police have released the name of the man found dead in a crashed car in eastern Rotorua this morning.
He was 21-year-old local Elisha Areli.
A serious crash investigation is underway into the incident, which police believe occurred between midnight and 2am.
Mr Areli's car, which left the road and
struck a tree on Iri Irikapua Parade in Owhata, was found by a resident shortly before 7am.
