Police have named the diver whose body washed up on Omaha Beach, near Warkworth, yesterday morning.
Ngaku Rangi Te Huia, 34, of Ohakune, in the central North Island, went missing during bad weather on Sunday afternoon.
He went into the sea about 50m offshore from Ti Point at Omaha Beach, but failed to join his companion onshore an hour later.
