Police have released the name of a cyclist found dead on a footpath in Hamilton early yesterday morning.
He was James Todd, also known as Jamie.
A post mortem examination is being carried out in Auckland today.
Detective Sergeant Daryl Smith said it was hoped that could offer some insight into exactly how the 34-year-old died.
Police have spoken to a number of people about the incident but still want to talk to anyone who was at the intersection of Victoria and Edgecumbe Streets about 1am.
