KEY POINTS:
Police have released the name of a young woman who was killed in a crash in suburban Hamilton.
Allysha Arihi Nepe, 15, died along with a 24-year-old man, whose name is yet to be released, when the car they were passengers in crashed in residential Frankton early on December 21.
The 24-year-old male driver survived but police could not immediately identify Ms Nepe.
Speed and alcohol were thought to be factors in the crash.
Sergeant Jeff Penno, of Hamilton, said the car went off the road and crashed side-on into a concrete retaining wall.
Police later today released the name of the other deceased passenger. He was Tyrone Vernon Tyler.
