Police are appealing for the driver of a dark-coloured four-wheel-drive vehicle to come forward following a hit-and-run in the Hutt Valley today.
A 37-year-old cyclist was clipped by the vehicle on State Highway 58 near Moonshine Rd, Haywards Hill, shortly before 8am.
The man fell from his bike, suffering a fractured arm and two sprained wrists.
The driver may not realise what happened, said Senior Sergeant Steve Sargent.
"The driver was travelling towards the Hutt Valley and we'd really like that person to come forward and contact us, to assist police with our inquiries," he said.
