KEY POINTS:
Auckland police are on the lookout for an alleged fraudster wanted both here and across the Tasman.
Warrants have been issued in New Zealand and Australia for the arrest of Paul James Bennett, also known as Paul James Williams and David Hanson.
He is a New Zealander, 45, and believed to be travelling with Australian Simone Ann Wright, also known as Simone Thalia Williams.
There is a warrant for Wright's arrest as well.
Detective John Gilbert, of the North Shore CIB, said Bennett was wanted by Australian police for serious fraud matters.
Mr Gilbert said the pair was believed to be driving a black Lexus vehicle, registration DGG214.
Bennett's interests included helicopters, boating, and motor racing, and police say it is likely he would have been in contact with clubs or organisations associated with these activities.
